I highly doubt this is correct, and you saying something like this tells me you know very little about Ruby on Rails.  It's not about AJAX, though it integrates with AJAX very well.</description>

As many, many people have pointed out -- including the Twitter developer -- the scaling problem Twitter is facing is related to the database layer, not the application framework.</description>
